Lowell Receives Healthy Prevention Award For Its Occupational Wellness Program "Ii Penker Jea"

November 21, 2023. Quito – Ecuador. - Lowell Mineral Exploration Ecuador S.A. ("Lowell" or the "Company"), a subsidiary of Solaris Resources Inc. ("Solaris"), is pleased to announce the receipt of the Occupational Wellness Program Award, an international recognition from the Institute of Safety and Occupational Wellness in Spain (ISBL), and the International University SEK of Ecuador. The award honors Lowell's program entitled, "Our Healthy Home” or “Ii Penker Jea” in Shuar language, which focuses on adopting good dietary practices and physical and mental health programs designed and implemented for the workers of the Warintza Project in southeastern Ecuador.

Through the "Our Healthy Home - Ii Penker Jea" program, Lowell has contributed to improving the quality of work and family life for its workforce, predominantly from the Indigenous Shuar communities of Warints and Yawi at the Warintza Project. This recognition is part of the annual Healthy Prevention Awards ceremony held in Quito, Ecuador which promote and highlight practices and policies to motivate organizations that have achieved excellence in employee health and well-being.

Agustin Sánchez Toledo, Director of the Healthy Prevention Awards and Director of the Institute of Safety and Occupational Wellness in Spain stated, "The notion of a healthy company arises from the World Health Organization’s concept of global health. A healthy company cares about the health of its workers; a healthy environment allows workers to integrate, develop, and align with the organization's policies. Everything Lowell does in its program involves many hours of work and innovation, psychosocial risk, nutrition, sports, and social responsibility programs, and above all, executive support. Community-oriented work involves a dual effort. Their incredible work is priceless. This is an award for Lowell and its communities."

Lowell developed its program "Our Healthy Home - Ii Penker Jea" to cover five aspects: mental health, smoking, sports, nutrition, and family through plans adapted to the local social reality of its employees. This year, five categories were awarded: Healthy Company, Occupational Wellness Program, Psychosocial Risk Prevention Program, Innovation Program, and Healthy Executive.

"This award is the result of Lowell's executive commitment to guide the health and occupational safety policies of the Warintza Project, recognizing the cultural diversity, worldview, and customs of the Shuar people, to which most of our workforce belongs. We are proud of our achievements and reaffirm our commitment to promote and strengthen the occupational well-being of our employees. We realize that taking care of employee health and well-being contributes to the development of responsible mining" expressed Darío Obando, Operations Manager at Lowell Mineral Exploration Ecuador.

Through the "Our Healthy Home - Ii Penker Jea" program, the Company contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 3, “Good Health and Well-being”, and SDG 8, “Decent Work and Economic Growth”.
